Tuxtla-Gutierrez, capital of the State of Chiapas since 1892 situated in the heart of a rich agricultural region (tobacco, coffee, sugar cane), will be your departure point to discover this fascínating region for its enormous natural and human opulence: (The Zoo of Tuxtla-Gutierrez, the Sumidero Canyon), the town of San Cristobal de Las Casas situated at 2000 m. height (85 Kms/1h45 from Tuxtla-Gutierrez) has kept its colonial character. You should visit the famous typical Market, (every day), where you'll find "Tzotziles" indians coming down from their villages with donkeys and baskets, dressing traditionally. In the outskirts, the ethnic villages of San Juan Chamula and Zinacantan, the natural wonders of Monte Bello lagoons, Agua Azul and Misol-Ha Falls, without forgetting the archaeological zones of Tonina and Palenque, this one being a trully wonderful.

Day 6 - .../ Arrival at Tuxtla-Gutierrez Airport (in the morning)
Welcome by the local speaking guide and go to Chiapa de Corzo village to take a boat-ride tour of the Sumidero Canyon, then continue to San Cristobal de Las Casas and transfer to the hotel.

Day 7 - San Cristobal De Las Casas
Visit the typical market and excursion to Indians villages of San Juan Chamula and Zinacantan. Afternoon at leisure in downtown.

Day 8 - San Cristobal - Palenque
On the way, visit the archaeological zone of Tonina, stop at Agua Azul Falls and continue to Palenque.

Day 9 - Palenque (*Villahermosa) / ...
Visit the magnificient archaeological site of Palenque, then transfer to Palenque or Villahermosa airport for Flight departure to...Merida. * some days, direct flights between Palenque and Merida are available.
