Mexico City

" ...To understand it, it's necessary to see it as a general process which hasn't finished yet..." - El laberinto de la Soledad - Octavio Paz. This phrase , used for the Mexican Revolution by the Literature Nobel Prize winner, can describe the Mexican Capital. Founded in 1325 by the "Mexicas" as Tenochtitlan, México-City took its name in 1521 after the Spanish conquest. Now it's one of the biggest cities in the world with approx. 20 million inhabitants: City of many contrasts, where you can find side by side pre-colonial sites, the entrance to the Subway, colonial buildings or skyscrapers, where the 'Mariachi' band offers you their 'fiestas' day and night, or the "green lung" of the 'Chapultepec park invites you to rest after the craziness of the "Zocalo".
